This page says what information Quivy keeps and why. We aim to follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we keep

• Coaching owners: name, email, mobile number, coaching name, plan.
• Students and teachers: name, email, mobile number, class, and a parent's mobile number if the coaching adds it.
• Learning records: test answers and marks, which classes a student joined, questions students send.
• Fees records: amounts, dates, how a fee was paid and a UPI reference. We never see bank or card details.
• Sign in: a record of the device used, to keep one device per student where the coaching asks for it.
• Camera check in tests: during a test with the camera check, still photos from the student's camera may be taken and stored privately. Only the admin of that student's coaching can open them. We do not record video.
• Requests to us: what you type when you ask for a free trial.

Why

To run the service for the coaching: sign in, classes, tests, marks and fees. We do not show advertisements. We do not sell information.

Who can see it

Each coaching sees only its own information. A student sees their own records. The Quivy owner may open a coaching's screen to give support; each such view is recorded.

Other services we use

Supabase (database and private file storage, in Mumbai), Cloudflare (hosting and email forwarding), Google (sends the one time sign in code by email), and Jitsi Meet (video for live classes). They handle information only to run Quivy for us.

Children

Many students are under 18. The coaching decides which students to add and is responsible for telling parents or guardians and getting their permission where needed. A parent can ask the coaching, or write to us, to see or delete a child's information.

How long we keep it

While the coaching uses Quivy. When a coaching leaves, it can download its data. Write to [email protected] and we will delete its data within 30 days.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to take back your permission, by writing to [email protected]. We will reply within 15 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Cookies

We use your browser's storage to keep you signed in and to remember small choices. We do not use advertising cookies or trackers.

Security

The site uses HTTPS. Coachings are kept apart from each other in the database. Sign in is by a one time code sent to your email. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

Changes

If we change this page, we will put the new version here with a new date.
