Live class software with a smart board for coaching
Quivy has a live class room made for teaching: a large board for writing, the teacher's video, student questions and a class timer, all in the browser.
A room built for teaching
The teacher writes on the board and students see it live. The teacher's video sits beside the board in its true shape, and students can raise a hand or type a question.
- Smart board with pages and a pen
- Teacher video and an optional student video
- Raise hand, questions and class chat
- Class timer that ends the class at the scheduled time
- Works on a phone held sideways and on a laptop
Notes without extra work
When a class ends, Quivy saves the board pages as a PDF for that class. Students open it in the Study section in view-only mode.
Attendance and reports
Quivy records who joined each live class, and the owner can open attendance reports for a class or a student.
Questions
Do students need to install anything for a live class?
No. A student opens the link in the browser, on a phone or laptop, and joins.
Can I show my own screen?
Yes, on a laptop. Phones do not allow screen sharing in the browser.
Are class notes saved?
Yes. The board pages of each class are saved as a PDF right after the class ends, and students can view them but not download them.
How long can a class be?
You can schedule a class for up to 10 hours.
